WELCOME TO THE NORTH OF ENGLAND
In England's North Country you'll find the scenic splendour of lakes and mountains, dramatic coastlines and glorious National Parks combined with cities rich in history, attractions and culture.
Explore the great heritage cities of York and Chester. Escape to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
Blackpool
Britain’s favourite seaside resort, Blackpool is packed wall to wall with attractions, entertainment, top line shows and offers just about everything a holidaymaker can wish for.
Cumbria-The Lake District
With 16 sparkling lakes and England's highest mountains, this is without doubt England's most beautiful corner and the country's best-loved outdoor playground.
Chester
The most famous destination in Cheshire is Roman Chester. With 2,000 years of history, this is one of Europe’s top heritage cities – and it is easy to see why!
Chester boasts a complete circuit of walls, sections of which date back to Roman times, as well as a Norman Cathedral. The famous Rows, unique two-tiered galleries built in the traditional black and white ‘magpie’ style, contain a wide range of shops selling goods from antiques to high fashion.
Scarborough
Britain’s first holiday resort, Scarborough has been welcoming visitors for over 360 years. Today it is a delightful bustling seaside town catering for the whole family.
The safe, sandy beaches of the North and South Bays are broken by a rocky headland on which stands a reminder of the past – Scarborough’s medieval castle. At its foot is the harbour where the boats still land their catch.
Southport
The Classic resort of Southport is the perfect destination for a seaside day trip, mid-week or weekend short break. With beautiful beaches, great attractions, superb shopping, a mouth-watering array of restaurants and lots, lots more, Southport has something for everyone.
York
The History of York is the History of England. 2000 years of history, award-winning attractions, quaint teashops, bustling shopping streets and an excellent array of restaurants, bistros, bars and evening entertainment.
